Settling in

Today we said farewell to the RV with a six-hour round trip to Connecticut.  We are very happy sad to see the back of HMS Dreambreaker, as I christened it, and if I never have to drive an RV 3,000 miles again it'll be too soon. We hired a car for the drive back to Vermont even though my new Subaru is sitting in the garage; we didn't think it fair that one of us would have to suffer driving the RV around New England roads on his/her own.

The drive (MORE BLOODY DRIVING) took us through some beautiful New England countryside which Alicia valiantly tried to take pics of through the wall of bugs on our windscreen:

Driving aside, it's been another day of doing exciting stuff such as a second trip to Walmart to get the crap we forgot to get yesterday and phoning the post office to find our missing mail, so we've made an executive decision to do bugger all tomorrow.

The house we're renting sits on 10 acres of land, and the dogs are having a field day after being cooped up in the RV for six days. The lawn out the back is bigger than the dog park they were used to at our apartment complex so they have space to go nuts, and they're having fun going nuts. We've already seen two deer in the backyard this morning so now I'm waiting to for the bears, moose, werewolves and mi-go.

  1. Wow that's bigger than the town I live in! Keep an eye out for Sasquatch!

    Cheers Roger.
